Counsellor (Female)

Responsibilities:

Build a relationship of trust and respect with students. To encourage students to share issues that they feel they cannot share with others. Maintain confidential case notes, students' database and statistics. Design and deliver workshops, motivational talks, organise students' activities and seminars. Provide cross culturally sensitive services to international students. Contribute to the development of policy and procedures in relations to the operations of the counselling services. Produce evaluation reports on all programmes provided. Liaise with Student Affairs Executive in organizing students' activities. Accept any issues without bias raised by students. Monitor post counselling evaluation and performance. Portray exemplary attributes and personality. Well disciplined and approachable. Share experiences with students on how to overcome emotional/stress/financial problems. Maintain a logbook and submit weekly report to Head of Student Affairs.

Minimum Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree majoring in Counselling. Must possess a certificate of counselling from Board of Counsellor. Experienced in education industry is an advantage. Excellent communication and interaction skills. Good planning and well organised at work. At least 3 years experienced in handling students' counselling sessions. For more details : zaki@dhuam.edu.my
